Cosmic Baseball, an immersive, glow-in-the-dark baseball experience that’s seen its popularity skyrocket over the last two years, recently announced its 2027 Takeover Tour stops, with plans to return to Werner Park in Papillion for a second consecutive year.
After debuting in Colonial Heights, Virginia, in 2024, Cosmic Baseball launched its inaugural tour in 2025, hitting seven Minor League Baseball stadiums. The Cosmic Chili Peppers and their rivals, the Glow Mojis, are wrapping up a hugely successful follow-up tour that saw them sell out 74 games across 30 markets in 2026, playing in front of more than 750,000 fans.
The 2027 schedule expands the tour further to 44 Minor League Baseball parks. Dates for the return to Werner Park haven’t been announced yet, but they played two sold-out games there in May 2026.
Cosmic Baseball gives a new meaning to playing under the lights, with the Chili Peppers and Glow Mojis facing off under black lights in UV-reactive gear that puts on a show of its own, plus live DJs and interactive fan engagement that turns the game into a viral experience.
“The energy on our 2026 tour was absolutely electric, blowing past every expectation we set,” Chris Martin, owner and founder of Cosmic Baseball, said in the Oct. 6 announcement. “For 2027, we’ve dialed up the production, added groundbreaking new in-game features, and created a glowing nighttime performance that fans will be talking about long after the final light goes out.”
The Cosmic Chili Peppers began as the Tri-City Chili Peppers, a college summer team in the Coastal Plain League that started hosting glow-in-the-dark night games to boost attendance in 2024. The viral sensation spurred a waitlist of more than 50,000 fans, which inspired the creation of the Chili Peppers Baseball Organization and the Takeover Tour in 2025.
That waitlist has only grown as the organization expands, so if you’re interested in seeing the Chili Peppers take on the Glow Mojis at Werner Park next year, the earlier you enter the Cosmic Lottery, the better.
More information regarding dates and ticketing will be announced soon.
