Nebraska Athletics is preparing for the spotlight as two national Fox Sports broadcasts will feature the Cornhuskers on Saturday, Oct. 10.
First, Fox’s Big Noon Kickoff show will be staged in Lincoln, with the team of hosts including Matt Leinart, Mark Ingram II, Brady Quinn, Urban Meyer, and Dave Portnoy spotlighting that day’s game between Nebraska and the defending champion Indiana Hoosiers.
It will be the first time Nebraska has hosted a defending national football champion team since the 2006 season, according to a release from the team.
Despite the show’s title, the actual game will kick off at 11 a.m. local time.
As pointed out by Nebraska Public Media, Nebraska is 0-7 in Big Noon Kickoff games, including a 49-14 shellacking at the hands of Oklahoma in their last appearance in 2022.
The Huskers are currently 4-0 after a 31-13 road victory at Michigan State in their Big Ten opener on Sept. 26. Before the Big Noon Kickoff, the Cornhuskers are set to take on the University of Maryland in the 2026 Homecoming Game at Memorial Stadium on Saturday, Oct. 3.
Kickoff for that game is set for 3 p.m. CT with television coverage on FS1.
Fox Sports will then remain in Lincoln to broadcast that evening’s women’s volleyball match between Nebraska and the University of Wisconsin at 6 p.m. in John Cook Arena at the Bob Devaney Sports Center.
The top-ranked Cornhusker women are coming off a 3-0 week that saw wins against Missouri, Rutgers, and Ohio State. That run earned senior middle blocker Andi Jackson AVCA National Player of the Week honors—the team’s first such recognition since August 2025.
This will mark the second match for Nebraska on Fox this season, as the No. 1 Huskers swept No. 2 Texas at the Players Era Showcase in August, as mentioned in a release from the team.
The team sits at a perfect 13-0 as of publication, including a 9-0 record at home, with its next match scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 1, at No. 16 Penn State.
