Denise Powell argues cuts to Medicaid and ACA subsidies are making an already difficult health care system even more unstable. At a listening session on Social Security and Medicare, hosted on Tuesday, Sept. 8, Powell compared the system to a Jenga tower: pull out the bottom pieces, and “the whole system” gets more wobbly. During the forum, the Democratic nominee for Nebraska’s 2nd Congressional District was endorsed by the National Committee to Preserve Social Security and Medicare.
