Republicans are pouring resources into Senate races in states that would normally be considered favorable territory for the party, as the fight for control of the chamber tightens ahead of November. Louisiana Sen. John Kennedy is among the Republicans heading into Kansas, Nebraska and Iowa, states he said he never expected to be spending campaign time in this year. The concern is especially visible in Nebraska, where a GOP-aligned super PAC recently committed $1.4 million to help Republican Sen. Pete Ricketts against independent Dan Osborn. Republicans currently hold a 53-47 Senate majority.
