Denise Powell, the Democratic nominee for Congress in Nebraska’s 2nd Congressional district, was endorsed Tuesday by the National Committee to Preserve Social Security and Medicare, a Washington-based nonprofit focused on protecting access to social services for seniors. The organization’s President and CEO, Max Richtman, announced the endorsement Tuesday before a listening session on the subject in northeast Omaha. Powell earned the endorsement over her Republican opponent, Brinker Harding.
