Nebraska Athletics released season ticket prices this week for the 2027 football season, the team’s first season in the partially renovated Memorial Stadium.
With construction on the Big Red Rebuild not expected to be fully completed until 2028, season ticket prices will see a significant drop for the coming season. All current season ticket holders will need to undergo a reseating before the next season starts in 2027 and again before the following season in 2028.
Seat selections will be prioritized based on how much money a seat holder has donated to the Huskers Athletic Fund. Current season ticket holders who are also Gold members of the Nebraska Leadership Society will get top priority, while Gold members who join the request list will get second priority.
The selection order will continue that way down through Silver, Bronze, Hall of Fame members, and so on. A full prioritization ranking can be found on the Big Red Rebuild site.
According to the site, run by Nebraska Athletics and the Huskers Athletic Fund, the all-in price, which combines the season ticket and priority seating contribution, will drop for approximately 85% of public season ticket locations comparable to the current locations.
Cost comparisons on the site show tickets in sections 35 and 5 will cost $521 and $1,021 less than they did for the current season, respectively, while seats in the West Club will go up by $179. A full seating map with price comparisons is available here.
Much of the variation is related to changes the program is making to its priority seating contribution rates. Priority seating contributions operate similarly to personal seat licenses, known as PSLs, at some professional sports venues, which allow fans to pay for the right to buy tickets for a given seat.
Memorial Stadium will operate at a reduced capacity of about 65,000 during the 2027 season, with around 15,000 seats still scheduled to be added along the west sideline and south end zone in 2028.
Once that is completed, the stadium will be at 80,000-seat capacity. The current capacity is around 85,000 seats.
