About 200 people demonstrated outside Fonner Park in Grand Island, Nebraska, on Monday, Oct. 5, ahead of President Donald Trump’s midterm rally stop in the city to campaign for US Sen. Pete Ricketts. One protester, Elizabeth from Aurora, told Courier Nebraska that Trump’s visit “shows me they’re really worried about what’s happening in Nebraska.” She added that she thinks Ricketts and Republican Gov. Jim Pillen “both need to go.” The rally featured remarks from the President as well as state Republican officials, including Pillen and Ricketts.
