The team at WorldAtlas has released a new list of the “friendliest little towns in Nebraska,” highlighting just a handful of the many small towns that carry immense charm in the Cornhusker State.
According to the staff behind the project, the 10 towns were chosen based on how they engaged their respective communities through art walks, farmers markets, festivals, holiday pageants and the like.
“Nebraska’s friendliest small towns earn that reputation through recurring events organized by residents, schools, businesses, and civic groups,” the article reads. “These traditions show that friendliness is part of regular town life, not limited to a single attraction or annual celebration.”
Without putting them in any specific ranking or order, WorldAtlas named the following towns the friendliest in Nebraska: Ashland, McCook, Minden, Valentine, Gering, Aurora, Brownville, Ogallala, Red Cloud, and Seward.

Red Cloud: Red Cloud 100

The town’s annual celebration of fall includes an arts market, live music and more. This year’s theme: “Let’s ruffle a few feathers.”
