Independent US Senate candidate Dan Osborn said the war in Iran “needs to end” in Papillion on Oct. 6 while accepting the endorsement of the National Security Leaders for America. Osborn criticized his opponent, Republican incumbent Sen. Pete Ricketts, for taking advice from defense contractors and groups like AIPAC. He added that politicians “draping themselves in the American flag” should not be allowed to use the military to grow defense contractors’ “bottom line.” The general election is Nov. 3.
