Denise Powell calls out opponent Brinker Harding over Medicaid cuts

Democratic congressional candidate Denise Powell called out her Republican opponent, Brinker Harding, over his support for federal Medicaid cuts during their Oct. 14 debate. Powell said doctors and hospital officials have warned her about the damage the cuts could cause to Nebraska’s health care system. She pointed to residents whose insurance premiums have doubled or tripled following the expiration of enhanced ACA tax credits. Powell and Harding are running to replace retiring Republican Rep. Don Bacon in Nebraska’s 2nd Congressional District.
