Nebraska Republican Brinker Harding was asked during a WOWT debate whether the economy is doing better than Americans think. He argued that economic conditions look better when energy costs are excluded. His Democratic opponent, Denise Powell, pushed back, pointing to the gas, diesel and heating bills Nebraska families still have to pay as the weather gets colder. Powell is running against Harding in Nebraska’s 2nd Congressional District.
