Hundreds gathered in Gallagher Park in Omaha on Saturday, Oct. 17, to participate in the nationwide “No Kings: Vote Early” day of action. The event featured several speakers, including Caerhl Irey, a popular activist and social media creator from Omaha. Irey shared a message for voters feeling discouraged ahead of the midterm election on Nov 3. “You don’t wanna give up the last avenue we have for actually using our voices to legislate,” Irey told the crowd. “We don’t wanna lose more rights … Get out there and get your voice heard, and if you piss people off, good.”
